The Sun Cafe in Ballard

Congratulations to the Sun Cafe on opening it's doors last week! This has been a much anticipated opening and we are all glad to see you are now open and serving the public. The grand opening is yet to be set.

If you would like a warm coffee and a smile and perhaps a pastry or other delectable...feel free to visit. They are located at 5413 6th Ave NW in Ballard, right across the street from the 5 star french restaurant Le Gourmand and the Tasty Sambar. They serve Stumptown Coffee which has a terrific flavor!

If you are looking for a SIP AND CLIP you can always get your Latte at the Sun Cafe and then right next door is Hair Design located at 5411 6th Ave NW. They Offer neat colorful Coifures and good conversation in a colorful and light filled atmosphere. (be sure to look for the yellow brick road and ruby slippers!).

The building has a circa 1920's flair that holds on to the charm and history of Ballard.

Financial Market Meltdown

Hmmm... Is it really that difficult to fix this financial crisis? The problem is money flow. Strict lending standards for the consumer because secondary markets quit purchasing bundled mortgage backed securities. All we have to do is restore faith in the quality and honesty of the securities being sold, investors will start purchasing them again and then Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will once again be able to continue the circle of money that lets the consumer borrow and then purchase a home and then repeat.

Let's face it...America does not produce anything anymore. Our economy has moved from Manufacturing, production, and an exporter, to the number one consumer country in the world. If we can not start producing again...and take pressure off of our economy being supported mainly by real estate...we are in trouble.

Real Estate is an awesome part of our economy...but it can not soley be how we keep ourselves a float.
